I’ve been meaning to do a blog post for about the last month, but figured I’d at least get one out tonight with the details for our very own Cole Stencel’s race at the National meet tomorrow morning in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Cole finished 23rd in 25:31 at our region meet last weekend and earned his spot at his first National meet as the sixth of seven individual qualifiers out of our region. Myself, Cole, Tim, Connor O’Brien (current team member we brought along to keep Cole company and tie his shoes for him) as well as recent SJU graduate Joe Gathje, who is tagging along with us for the weekend, arrived in South Carolina yesterday afternoon. We’ve familiarized ourselves with the course at the Roger Milliken Center here in Spartanburg and are excited to see what tomorrow has in store.
